The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul.He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil;my cup overflows.Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.- Psalm 23

Are names really that important? What has over taken our speech to such an extent whereby and correct me if i'm wrong the first thing we ask someone who don't know is their names. Why can't it be get to know someone first before getting their names? Not that i have anything against it but the words "Who are You?" or "You are?" are in my opinion the most commonly used words of the English language. What would it be to live in a society whereby there are no names? Would we lose our ability to start a conversation with a stranger?

I'm not trying to start anything here but this is more of a point worth pondering over. Just because everyone does it, does it mean we have to follow suit? Is this some unwritten law that we must follow? I doubt so...
